What you will learn

  • Why rejection is a normal part of sales
  • How to separate rejection from your self-worth
  • How to learn from every “no”

Rejection is information

Most prospects will say no at least once. A “no” usually means “not now”, “not enough information” or “I do not trust this yet”. Treat it as feedback, not failure.

Keep your energy steady

  • Track your activity (calls, conversations, appointments), not just the results.
  • After a hard conversation, take a short break before the next call.
  • Share wins and lessons with your team.

Leave the door open

End every “no” politely and ask if you can follow up later in the season. Many clients come back when their situation changes or their current preparer disappoints them.

Sample script (fictional)

Prospect: I already have someone.
You: That is great, it is important to have someone you trust. If anything changes this season, may I send you our contact information so you have it?

Practice

Write down what you would learn from three different kinds of “no”.
