What you will learn

  • Why most sales happen after the first conversation
  • A simple follow-up schedule
  • How to follow up without being pushy

Follow-up builds trust

Many clients decide after the second or third contact. A short, helpful follow-up shows you are organized and that you care.

A simple schedule

  • Same day: thank-you message with your contact information.
  • Two to three days later: a helpful reminder (for example, the document checklist).
  • One week later: a short check-in asking if they have questions.
  • After filing: a thank-you and a request for a referral or review.

Respect the client’s choice

If the client says no or asks you to stop, thank them and stop. Keep records of consent for texts and emails, and follow the communication rules that apply in your state.
